Charlie Chaplin grew up in poverty at various addresses around the area of Kennington Road in Lambeth's late Victorian and early Edwardian eras. This walk takes you from Lambeth North to Kennington Oval on a guided exploration of the highs and lows of Chaplin's formative years, the places he lived, the poverty he endured, the people he met, the landmarks familiar to him, and the inspirations behind his iconic Little Tramp character. Along the way you'll hear sad stories and funny stories and meet other characters from London music hall past.
