It takes just 53 seconds to travel between Waterloo and Southwark by tube, but what a treat you miss by not going above ground and encountering the many people who have lived, walked, and worked there.
In this walk we’ll introduce you to a diverse cast of characters: a heavyweight writer and a lightweight boxer; a street artist and a con artist; a promiscuous politician and a dodgy doctor; these are just some of the people who have made Waterloo what it is today. You’ll never look at the area in the same way again!
