About the event

Following on from their popular Words in Waterloo (National Poetry Day) and Words of Remembrance (Armistice Day) guided walks, Lambeth Tour Guides Peter Brown and David Turnbull have curated this new walk celebrating Words of Love for Valentine's Day.

The walk will take you on a passionate voyage of love from the Southbank across Waterloo Bridge to the Embankment and back across Hungerford Bridge to the Southbank once more. Along the way we'll celebrate poems and poets, lyrics and lyricists and what they had to say about love. Love of life. Love of London. The first flush of love. Love affairs. Unrequited love. Tragic love.

We're offering two walks. A late morning start so you can work up an appetite for a romantic lunch, or a late afternoon to get you in the mood for an evening date. Book a spot on this walk and you can bring your significant other with you for free. Singles are welcome too. Who knows Cupid's arrow may strike and you could possibly meet someone special on the walk.
