About the event
Astronauts, Aeronauts, and Animals and Agents feature in this 60-minute walk exploring Vauxhall and the links between classical music and the cinema.
You’ll hear about music that has been sent into outer space, used to depict the exploration of space, and to portray fictional Victorian adventurers aboard air balloons. We’ll discuss the classical influence on the scores of action movies and TV shows, and uncover links to music from films such as The Man Who Fell to Earth, Star Wars, 2001 A Space Odyssey, Around the World in Eighty Days, Fantasia, Animal Farm, Jack Ryder and James Bond.
