Parks and Gardens of Vauxhall and Kennington

Did you know that Lambeth has over 80 green spaces, ranging from tiny pocket parks to over 50 hectares? We can only explore a handful on this 90 minute walk, but each has a fascinating story: there is ancient common land, examples of Victorian philanthropy and modern-day people power, and even a garden that seems to have arisen by accident! This walk is led by Peter Brown and covers about 2.5km, starting at Kennington tube station and finishing close to Vauxhall station.
