If you are interested in local Brixton history across 2000 years you can’t do better than join me on this 2 hour walk around approximately 2 miles of Brixton.
We will start at Brixton Windmill, London's last remaining working Windmill. Walk part of the Roman Road, follow some of the course of the Effra River. We will talk of monarchs, authors, influencers and places of worship. There is even an unsolved murder and a little extra something!
I have lived in London for most of my life and Lambeth for 15 years. I am constantly amazed by Lambeth’s rich history and hidden gems.
